SET THE COURSE

To drive consistent execution of business practices in all aspects of Tommy Bahama stores. Create and streamline policies and procedures that enable our retail stores to operate as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

Function

  • Create and maintain consistent and effective communication tools for the stores.
  • Liaison with all Company partners to create clear, concise, and executable information for the stores.
  • Maintain tracking vehicles that allow assessment of operational success, including but not limited to Excel reports.
  • Create and maintain reporting tools for regional managers to track store compliance of policies and procedures.
  • Create and maintain in-store contest materials and track results.
  • Consistently update and streamline existing policies and procedures to promote effective store operations.
  • Partner with appropriate departments to coordinate all policies and procedures with the appropriate department, ensuring store needs are met.
  • Manage POS and cash management policy and procedure changes as business dictates.
  • Coordinate efforts in executing inventories and other operational procedures in our stores
  • Respond to guest and store feedback identifying areas of business opportunity.
  • Research and execute ways to reduce store operations expenses.
  • Analyze STS data to enhance operational effectiveness in stores.
  • Productively partner with the corporate office and store teams to create business practices that turn into operations policies and procedures.
  • Consult subject matter experts when seeking validation/approval of best practices.
  • Benchmark and implement industry best practices.
  • Maintain and communicate store opening calendar and schedules to all divisions of the company including Oxford.
  • Coordinate and execute operational, merchandising and field planning of store openings
  • Consistently update and streamline existing store opening processes and procedures to promote successful and effective store openings.
  • Work with IT onsite to ensure new store systems are working properly.
  • Act as new store liaison for first 90 days of store openings; communicating trends and store needs back to home office.
  • Interact with all company departments to ensure store and Company needs are met.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and processes used are consistent with company culture.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

Education and Certifications, Experience and Skills, Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Education, or related experience.
  • Minimum of four years experience in retail store operations and POS, preferably with both store and corporate office background.
  • Proficient at writen communications (technical writing preferred) and implementing business policies in a concise and deliverable method.
  • Creative ability.
  • Ability to manipulate computer graphics.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and desktop publishing.
  • Flexible, diplomatic facilitator with excellent verbal communication skills and follow through.
  • Proficient organization skills.
  • Proficient at public speaking and facilitating to groups of all sizes.
  • Willingness to travel.

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $78,000-$104,000 Annually
