Physician Assistant (Healthcare)
Conduct focused patient histories, including chief complaints and interval history during follow-up visits.
Perform physical examinations related to the respiratory tract, nose, ears, throat, and skin, including chest auscultation as appropriate.
Provide clinical assessments, including differential diagnoses when indicated.
Develop and communicate individualized treatment plans, ensuring documentation is clear and complete.
Manage and treat reactions related to immunotherapy, with physician consultation for severe cases.
Prescribe medications within prescriptive authority, including antihistamines, decongestants, mucolytics, bronchodilators, inhaled and oral steroids, and antibiotics.
Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing, including laboratory work, imaging, and CT scans.
Collaborate with supervising physicians on challenging or complex cases, either in person or via phone consultation.
Provide after-hours call coverage from home with physician backup always available.
