Agile Infrastructure Product Management Senior Manager- Database -Remote (Engineering)



Role Summary/Key Objectives:

The Agile Product Management Senior Manager owns all aspects of their technical vertical, leading business value creation and managing overall product health. This senior manager applies specialized product knowledge and expertise to understand business and technology objectives, communicate the product vision and roadmap, prioritize and translate needs into requirements to ensure that expected outcomes are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Agile Product Managers (APMs) who are responsible for aligning work to strategy and communicating incremental value delivered to engineering leadership on a regular cadence
  • Facilitate product/service roadmap discussions and drive long term planning where possible (3mo. - 3yr.)
  • Partner with Global Intake to route requests through the process as efficiently and expeditiously as possible
  • Participate in PI planning events as needed and ensure alignment of priorities with engineering leadership in advance of each PI
  • Identify & manage cross-functional interdependencies to remove impediments to work
  • Regularly review agile metrics to derive insights and recommend actions that drive operational efficiency for engineering teams - socialize with engineering leadership
  • Continuously reinforce agile principles to help drive agile maturity across the team using agile maturity assessments, OKRs, and other KPIs
  • Continuously develop strong product/service knowledge and understand product/service business value
  • Manage escalations from team members and Engineering counterparts to ensure overall customer satisfaction from partner teams.

Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting teams and working with multiple cross functional stakeholders
  • Passionate advocate, with the ability to identify, champion customer needs, and improve with agile principles in mind
  • Ability to work cross functionally with Business Stakeholders, Software Engineering, CIP, Infrastructure, etc.
  • Experience in agile tools (JIRA), collaboration tools (Confluence, SharePoint, HipChat,etc), Visio, reporting tools (Tableau), ticketing systems(ServiceNow,iService,etc)andIdentity Governance Platforms (Savyint) preferred.
  • Proven skill at balancing infrastructure technical knowledge with business acumen
  • Prior experience in Product/Project Management related to Database (SQL, etc.) Highly preferred
  • High degree of comfort in a fast-paced / ambiguous environment
  • Strong understanding ofService Design, experience with matrixed working relationships, and best practices of AgilemethodologieslikeScrum, Kanban,XP,etc
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Understand and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision while under pressure and conducting several tasks at one time
  • Ability to plan, direct, coordinate work activities of others
  • Ability to use sound judgement
  • Experience working within a global, matrixed management organization
  • Healthcare, life sciences experience preferred but not required
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, able to prioritize and motivate others

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 119,300 - 198,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
