Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer (Architecture)

The Senior Civil Engineer is a key role to further develop our industry leading Water Infrastructure team, supporting our growing workload in utilities design and relocations. This position is based out of Sarasota or Tampa, Florida with projects and prospects in region that will help develop an exciting career.

How will you contribute to the team?
Organizing and performing engineering assessments, investigations and planning work
Performing data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations
Preparing reports and presentations
Leading engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions
Performing field observations of construction procedures
Leading design and development of plans and drawings, including development of preliminary layouts and/or final drawings
Development of specifications and permit applications, and writing miscellaneous reports
Providing guidance as an experienced professional to junior staff
Supervising & preparing construction cost estimates and schedules for design projects by coordinating and reviewing quantity takeoffs and pricing.
Evaluates project scope change orders and negotiating settlement.
Performs or assists with project constructability and value engineering reviews.
Upholding engineering ethics and professional standards of conduct.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or graduate level technical coursework preferred
This level may be achieved by Engineers with seven years of relevant experience since B.S. or six years since M.S.
Typical incumbent has ten to fourteen years of experience.
Significant experience in utilities design and / or utility relocation. Roadway project experience a plus.
P.E. License is required.
