IT Application Systems Administrator (Finance)



UC Health is hiring a full time Application Systems Administrator for the IS&T Department

The Administrator provides support, testing, and administration for UC Health site and enterprise applications. This role will collaborate with IS&T and departmental associates to evaluate and implement new applications and software upgrades. This role will be responsible for primary support of mobile device management within the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science combination of education preferred.
  • Minimum Required: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience.

  • Interacts with users to define and validate system requirements.
  • Interacts with vendors to evaluate and select products.
  • Provides information and designs for testing applications.
  • Implements, supports, troubleshoots HW and SW problems pertaining to all LAN applications.
  • Performs complete testing of software and validates system requirements are met.
  • Recommends and schedules maintenance repairs when needed.
  • Performs application patching and upgrades when needed.
  • Performs system Administration necessary to implement applications.
  • Processes work requests per department standard.

Application Administration -
  • Installs, supports, monitors, tests and troubleshoots Enterprise applications.
  • Sets Standard Operating Procedures for Managed Applications.
  • Provides timely and accurate support to resolve system errors and user reported problems.
  • Researches new application functionality and technologies.
  • Maintains stable application environments by applying current revisions as needed.

Process and Project Management -
  • Coordinates effectively with team members.
  • Provides or assists with resource estimates.
  • Documents and facilitates issue resolution.
  • Raises issues to the appropriate level.
  • Provides accurate and timely individual status report.
  • Tracks resource usage in PMO/Help Desk Ticketing software application.
  • Attends and participates in department staff, team and individual meetings.

Documentation -
  • Develops complete systems documentation.
  • Documents Installation Procedures.
  • Documents application Administration Procedures and Standards.
  • Updates Change Management tool in timely fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned
