Position Overview:

A Leader of Process Excellence has an important role that will be accountable for identifying and implementing business process improvements and efficiencies that will support the company's performance and help drive innovation for the Professional Services team. The Process Excellence Leader will work with, and develop, strong business partnerships across ePS to identify and provide long-term strategic and short-term tactical opportunities to create greater efficiencies in processes, systems and resource optimization. As the lead change agent, the Process Excellence Leader will help create a new center of excellence program that will focus on continuous improvement and transformation initiatives. This role will provide thought leadership, research and consulting expertise to the business

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help strengthen the Implementation Services process excellence program across the organization to take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls
  • Create value-driven strategic business partnerships with business leaders and consult with managers to support and encourage enterprise process innovation
  • Focus on improvement opportunities by:
    • Evaluating, in detail, a current operation from start to finish
    • Analyzing this information to find areas of waste, duplication and frequent errors
    • Developing a plan to implement changes
    • Monitoring the results of the changes to ensure they are working
    • Making continuous improvements and adjustments to maintain efficient operations
    • Developing and implementing Process flows and SOP's.
  • Recommend and clarify priorities and coordinate cross-organizational association where common needs have been identified; assess upstream and downstream impacts and integrations
  • Determine the most appropriate metrics to measure in the Implementation Services organization and works with the Professional Services leadership to drive any necessary changes needed based on the results of those metrics.
  • Encourage appropriate use of technology and automation in support of business processes
  • Design ways to support the business in developing auditing tools against current processes
  • Able to assist in the creation of template statements of work, project plans and facilitate the education of said template plans across the organization.
  • Recommends approach and assist in the development of training materials for the commercial leaders of Professional Services (Project Managers and Directors)
  • Recommends and drives an on-boarding program for commercial leaders of services and drives an on-boarding program for the implementers with feedback from the functional leaders.
  • Ensures compliance with and audits all things related to time entry for the Professional Services Team

  • Ensures the department has appropriate job descriptions in place.

  • Understands revenue recognition and the impact to the forecast and able to differentiate between revenue recognition and invoice payment.
  • Understands the importance of the Accounts Receivable process and able to facilitate the tools and processes necessary to increase efficiency on the cash collection process. Able to step in and provide guidance to the project managers on appropriate cash collection techniques as needed.
  • Drives the importance of time logging and drives efficiencies specific to the process of logging and approving time.
  • Drives to an efficient forecasting method by understanding the importance of forecasting to the business and looking for opportunities to improve the forecasting process
  • Audits the project management staff in all areas of their required duties, from A/R, forecasting, project management, etc... and uses the results from those audits to look for opportunities to drive improvement
  • Understands the various approaches to resource planning and drives to a solid resource planning approach.
  • Regularly meets with the other members of the Implementation Services staff to understand current challenges, areas of waste and uses that information to drive to better process improvements in all areas of Professional Services.
  • Drives recommendation for, and owns and implements new modules in OpenAir
  • Owns/maintains/strategizes on the tools used by Professional Services
  • Completes required internal training.
  • Other duties as directed by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant discipline with at least 5 years of experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite experience.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, commanding respect of peers, sub-ordinates across region and industry verticals.
  • Strong communicator, able to influence and collaborate at all levels to maximize problem resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and be effective/proactive in a relatively unstructured environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with senior management and to present complex issues and options with clarity from a strategic viewpoint
  • Fundamental knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Change management, communications and presentation knowledge and competence coupled with business acumen and technical knowledge are critical for creating a culture that both reflects the values and principles of lead and learn and ensures the alignment and delivery of business results.
  • Knowledge of cross functional business disciplines (sales, marketing, development, legal, HR, information systems etc. is required).
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects.
  • Self-motivated with high sense of urgency. Able to work with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to understand and thrive in a high-volume work environment while executing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Very strong organizational skills and demonstrated experience using project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work in a virtual role

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SalesForce , or a related CRM
  • Experience with Wryke (or a related time tracking system)
