District Manager (Biotech)



Position Summary
Contribute to the mission of Goodwill by leading multiple retail locations. Maximize financial results, store appearance, customer experience and associate satisfaction. Motivate, mentor and guide Retail Operations Managers (ROMs) to develop in-store talent. Ensure district wide consistency in operations.

Essential Duties
(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Develop store management teams within the district to deliver outstanding internal and external customer experiences.
2. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
3. Drive the implementation of organizational initiatives in each store location.
4. Plan, develop and delegate key responsibilities and best practices to the store management teams.
5. Ensures the timely execution of performance management, check ins, performance evaluations.
6. Review store environments and key business indicators within the district to identify opportunities for improvement.
7. Participate in the creation of budgets for assigned store locations.
8. Use management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify and address trends.
9. Create business plans to support operational excellence to identify opportunities and achieve goals.
10. Monitor and manage district wide staffing levels by location. Ensure management level development and talent acquisition.
11. Utilize existing tools to identify and prioritize communications, communicate clearly, concisely, accurately to ensure effective operations in each store location.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position has supervisory responsibility for designated associates in their department.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred.
• 3 Years' experience in a related field required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.
• The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Safety Statement
Associates are required to follow Goodwill's safety rules and regulations, as outlined in Goodwill's policies. Managers have the added responsibility to ensure the compliance of their team members.
Information Privacy and Security
This associate may have access to Confidential Information (CI) and is required to be familiar with the Goodwill Privacy policy 10.23 related to the handling of CI, and follow all related procedures required to protect the privacy and security of CI.
Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Conditions
• The associate is required to lift 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Walking or standing to a significant degree involves sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling.
• The associate works in a moderate work environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
• The associate is required to be available at all times by phone and provide for a backup in their absence.• The associate is required to travel throughout the Goodwill service area. Occasional overnight travel is required.
