Document Coordinator, Temp (Finance)

Operational Services is looking for a document coordinator to temporarily join our document management team. The document management team assists all business partner teams and sales divisions with attaching secure credentialing documents in our document database. As a document coordinator you will assist with facilitating verifications of employment for both physicians and allied practitioners, gathering documentation to assist our risk management department with litigation claims, preparing for joint commission audits and other misc. clerical duties. This role will report to the Document Coordinator Manager II.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize documents
  • Identify, categorize and attach credentialing documents, contracts and practice description documents electronically into database
  • Support Medical Staff Services team with credentialing and privileging functions- pulling documents needed for joint commission audit, risk management litigation, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the files and ensure they are properly stored

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail & time management skills
  • Strong computer skills in database programs
  • Able to work individually as well as with team members
  • Ability to multi-task and work on tasks simultaneously
  • Minimum of 1year experience in an administrative position supporting professional functions in a fast paced, team environment
  • General knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Familiarity with documents related to physician/allied health credentialing preferred
