Kitting Team Lead (Transportation)
To function as a team lead of the department ensuring timely and accurate delivery of components and sub-assemblies to assigned assembly department(s) based on customer requirements
•Maintain standard 5S expectations
•Represent department Supervisor and Manager in a professional manner
•Provide process and/or product related liaison support between team members and support/customer departments
•Ensure Supervisor/Manager is aware of requests and/or inquiries from other departments
•Provide first line of defense for process related issues
•Coach team members in the skills needed to perform work in a quality and cost effective manner
•Remain aware of scheduling and capacity status to ensure that immediate assignments or reassignments are done
•Assign and/or reassign work as needed
•Perform OJT training in a professional and timely manner
•Work with assigned process owners to assure inventory parameters meet their business needs
•Daily collaboration with Water Spider/Inventory – Sourcing team and assigned manufacturing teams
•Support improvement activities for procedural process flows involving inventory management
•Serve as point of contact for min-max inventory calculations of assigned areas
•Familiar with, embrace and apply Lean philosophy and tools
•Support Kanban philosophy, implementation and improvements
•Be aware of and abide by all Quality System requirements
•Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Focus on continuous Lean Manufacturing improvement and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Stealth departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Stealth retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
•Must be a team player, detail-oriented, and honest
Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Become proficient with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system
•Collaborate cross-functionally in support of providing assembly department(s) timely and accurate kitted requirements
•Perform basic bending, and be on your feet up to a full day
•Learn and adapt to new work methods
•Lift/push/pull up to 45 lbs.
•Work flexible hours based on business needs
Must have:
•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•1 year of experience in a warehouse/inventory environment
•Experience in standard concepts, practices, and procedures within warehousing/distribution in the manufacturing field
•1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
•Current or previous successful employment experience with Stealth Products
•High School Diploma or GED
