Systems Analyst I (Finance)



TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a Full-Time Systems Analyst I to join our team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

We continue to succeed due to the passion, focus, and expertise of our people, and now need a full-time Systems Analyst to join our tolling solution team based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary: The System Analyst will perform full and partial audits of tolling transaction and toll image data for toll system accuracy. The candidate will document, manage, and track performance inconsistencies and proposed performance improvements with installed systems and new build testing. The Systems Analyst will support all testing efforts including new software builds. Work hours will include standard dayshift and possible off-hours work as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Daily and extensive transaction audits to monitor system accuracy.
  • Remote monitoring of systems using VPN connections
  • Document, track, and manage performance inconsistencies, ECOs, code updates, and system improvements to resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with multiple groups from local technician, developers, Core team developers, and customers.
  • Works collaboratively with the Product Test Manager to organize and ensure completeness and accuracy of all software build tests.
  • Build testing includes functional verification, failover functional verification of all and individual sensors, testing of individual change documents and robust testing verification.
  • Complete configuration changes with test environment to complete system testing as defined.
  • Remote access to computer systems and troubleshooting connections.
  • Provide regular status updates when requested.

Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Certificate program or Associates in electronics/electrical technology or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and multitasking skills required.
  • Excellent communication skills through verbal and written communication required.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and remote network connections required.
  • Basic understanding of the following or similar tools is a plus:
    • Linux
    • Smartsheet
    • SQL commands
    • Putty
    • WINSCP
    • FTP & SFTP
    • FileZilla
    • WinGrep
    • VNC
  • Prior experience using VPN software a plus.
  • Knowledge of peripheral electronics a plus.
