The Credit Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Credit Manager in overseeing credit administration and risk management, contract and sales order management, project creation and cash receipts processing. This role also leads efforts in credit team leadership, process optimization, revenue assurance controls, data integrity, and system improvements to ensure that all potential revenue is accurately captured, billed, and collected. The Supervisor works cross-functionally to support financial health, minimize bad debt, and enhance revenue operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Credit Administration and Risk Management
Assist in monitoring customer credit limits, assessing creditworthiness, and identifying potential risks.
Implement and enforce credit policies and procedures, including proactive risk mitigation for high-risk accounts.
Communicate credit issues promptly to ensure smooth order processing and minimize financial exposure.
Develop strategies to prevent bad debts and maintain strong oversight of credit terms.
Cash Receipts Processing
Oversee daily cash receipts, including lockbox transactions, credit card payments, and local deposits.
Ensure timely reconciliation of cash receipts, resolve discrepancies effectively.
Contract and Sales Order Management
Oversee the accurate setup and approval of new sales orders in the accounting system, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Assist in standardizing and optimizing the order processing team by developing policies and procedures and looking for ways to automate the process if possible.
Work closely with sales, operations, and legal teams to ensure smooth processing of orders and alignment of contract execution with revenue goals.
Track and manage the status of sales orders, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Monitor project delivery and invoicing alignment with contract terms and milestones to facilitate accurate financial tracking.
Project Setup
Collaborate with project managers, finance, and relevant departments to support project tracking, billing, and financial reporting.
Monitor project lifecycle events, including change orders, invoicing milestones, and completion for accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Customer Dispute Resolution
Proactively address and resolve customer disputes related to contracts.
Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and finance teams to maintain positive customer relations.
All additional assignments and responsibilities are handled in a satisfactory and timely manner.

Qualifications to Assure Success
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years equivalent experience or combination of experience working as an accounting supervisor in a volume driven environment.
Employee must be able to work independently, make administrative and personnel decisions, and have an extensive working knowledge of processes for customer credit, revenue recognition, and project accounting.
This individual must possess strong organizational skills as well as written and verbal communication ability.
Must have a high level of experience and knowledge working with ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
