Digital Marketing Lead (Creative Design)

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, our Digital Marketing Lead will be accountable to own, pilot, lead, integrate, and execute all Website and Digital initiatives. This individual will collaborate with various partners across the credit union to deliver an optimized website experience (content, navigation, videos, podcasts, etc.) as part of the digital strategy. The individual will work with the Director of Marketing and other business partners to formulate an overall best-in-class digital strategy and manage flawless and timely execution of all digital strategic objectives, keeping the web site relevant and error-free 24/7.

This individual is responsible for driving strategies/changes that result in qualified traffic to Blue's website and social media platforms, leading to an increase in the company's overall e-commerce sales while maintaining exceptional member satisfaction. This thought leader will establish a report card and a process for performance/KPI tracking for Blue's site and across all digital functions. This position stays abreast of current digital trends and acts as the digital expert, for aligning us with globally recognized brands and ensuring Blue has a world-class website.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize SEO-ready website content through the Credit Union's official website Content Management System. Assist in online messaging for promotions and communication as needed and provide HTML and CSS coding assistance as needed.
  • Develop, proof and deploy paid online search content for the purpose of promoting the Credit Union's marketing and brand promotions. Provide recommendations and monitor online ad budgets.
  • While working with other marketing team members, create, proof and deploy paid social media content for the purpose of advertising marketing and Credit Union promotions. Ensure ads meet quality control set by social media networks and make recommendations on ad spends and social media budgets.
  • Maintain and develop content for the Credit Union's online knowledge base software while working across different departments to ensure content is relevant, accurate and usable to all employees and members.
  • Through analytic reporting, monitor and optimize digital channel through advanced reporting and segmentations of digital marketing tactics. Package strategic and analytical insights into clear, concise and “executive-ready” presentations.
  • Monitor digital trends relevant to Credit Unions and Banking and assess threats/opportunities. Communicate findings to department management and to the broader organization. As well as online/digital applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Knowledge and Skills

Experience

Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

A college degree. Preferred marketing, digital, creative or communications degree.

Interpersonal Skills

The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.

Other Skills

Expertise managing all core functions in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, display, website optimization, and paid search (PPC). Proficiency in Google Analytics. Excellent mastery of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook and Power Point required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Experience in managing vendors and clients (both internal or external), agencies, and other partners.

FULL TIME POSITION

Starting Range: $54,673.16 - $61,181.87

Full Range: $52,069.68 - $78,104.52

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, government regulations, general financial reports and compliance documents.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters. Ability to focus on detail and verify accuracy of numbers and text. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, government regulations, general financial reports and compliance documents.
