Command and Control Engineer/Developer (Transportation)
· working within and potentially leading a team or teams of engineers and developers,
· designing architectures for advanced processors running within military systems,
· designing and implementing integrations across processors or systems,
· implementing data and signal processing algorithms in embedded hardware or computer systems,
· determining and driving data flows through multiple, interacting processes,
· developing web-based plugins to existing Command and Control components,
· creating analysis, assessment, and visualization tools for engineering purposes or to inform customers and end users,
· software and hardware in the loop testing, live testing at local sites, and live testing at Government sites,
· and interactions with customers and stakeholders through live and virtual meetings.
Candidates should enjoy working a variety of interrelated tasks that may be different in nature. Though the position will be an addition to an existing team, candidates are expected to be self-driven problem solvers capable of operating independently on some tasks. Candidates must have strong analytical and communication skills. The position requires knowledge in multiple areas across signal processing, Unix systems, networking, development, as well as regular customer interaction through meetings, briefings, and reporting. Some responsibilities necessary for execution may be physical in nature (e.g., packing and moving test equipment, installing sensors in vehicles, setting up communication network using masts, etc.). Both full and part-time applicants will be considered, subject to the requirements listed below. Candidate must be a US citizen and eligible for a DoD clearance.
