Licensed Practical Nurse (Finance)



This position typically reports to a Registered Nurse, Registered Nurse Manager, Nurse Practitioner, Physician, or other nursing/medical administrator in the medical clinic, student health services, hospital, or other medical setting, including a mobile outreach unit. A Licensed Practical Nurse may be assigned to a general clinic or specialty clinic, such as a women's clinic that provides Gynecological services, a Neurological clinic, an urgent care unit, a mobile care unit, or other clinic. A Licensed Practical Nurse uses a variety of medical equipment, such as sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, needles/syringes, thermometers, EKG machines, AED, Hemoques, Otoscopes, IV catheters, Nebulizers, and cardiac monitors. Employees in this non-exempt position should be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. A Licensed Practical Nurse must have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form, maintain and interpret records and reports, and be able to act quickly and calmly in emergency situations. This position is Time-Limited. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with holidays and weekends off. This is a state job that offers state benefits and retirement. Free tuition to USF pending the approval process. This role involves direct patient care to the USF Health students, faculty, and staff.This position requires licensure as a practical nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes, or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Chapter 64 B9, Florida Administrative Code.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.
