JOB SUMMARY

Compliance Specialist 1 reports to the Cellar Logistics Manager and performs a wide variety of compliance and administrative functions for the plant. This is a full-time position. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years administrative experience, ideally in an administrative manufacturing role, or equivalent, and are strong with database programs like JDE, SAP, Oracle and office programs like Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Close work orders in TWG system of record for cellar and winemaking operations.
  • Ensure ingredient usage data is correct on work orders.
  • Identify changes needed on cellar workorders prior to closing workorders.
  • Update Bills of Lading in wine tracking system.
  • Update wine and tank board system as related to work order changes.
  • Generate cellar work orders as needed.
  • Run reports on inventory movements for wine and ingredients.
  • Assists during regulatory agency audits and internal audits.
  • Assist in completing monthly ingredient inventory.
  • Develop and utilize spreadsheets and databases.
  • Download data from JDE, and/or other production systems.
  • Assist preparing and submitting monthly bonded winery and distillery reports.
  • Provide support to other departments such as wine shipping, BOL's, ingredient ordering and crush work orders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years or older at time of hire.
  • Two years prior administrative experience required, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be organized and have a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and provide follow-up.
  • Familiarity with wine movement and terminology preferred.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to understand departmental operations and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive work atmosphere by communicating with teammates, customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Computer proficient with order entry, creation, modifying and closing along with Microsoft Office and Excel efficiency.
  • Support and model all company procedures and policies.

  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team/crew environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The Primary work activities are within a cellar office environment. 
  • The ability to work in a lively office environment shared with cellar operations.
  • The ability to travel between buildings at the facility when required.
  • Must be able to lift 35 – 40 lbs.

 

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly Pay Range Posted: $25.87- $38.85/hr.
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position related factors.
