The Opportunity

Our firm's Corporate Performance Improvement Supply Chain team is experiencing significant growth in various locations. We are seeking individuals at the Manager or Director levels to join our team to deliver large, complex and transformational client engagements. Our small project teams give you frequent exposure to client executives and rapid growth in your areas of interest.

Our Supply Chain Services provides clients with end-to-end offerings including:

  • Manufacturing & Operations
  • Logistics & Distribution
  • Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning
  • Procurement Transformation & Strategic Sourcing
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Assessments & Integration
  • Supplier Relationship & Risk Management

Post pandemic, our clients are facing intricate challenges caused by labor shortages, increasing commodity prices, and strong consumer demand. Companies are struggling to understand how to navigate this environment and do not have the capacity to move fast enough on their own. Our firm's Supply Chain Services group is seeking individuals to join our team to deliver large, complex and transformational client engagements. Using leadership ability and proven supply chain management techniques, this individual will directly oversee and implement end-to-end supply chain related strategies to drive results across all of our service offerings.

Role Expectations - Manager:

  • Effectively leads workstreams
  • Leads self and teammates to achieve objectives set with project leadership direction
  • Plans and designs work by using structured problem-solving framework and methodologies
  • Interfaces with client regularly and possesses strong executive presence
  • Provides significant support on proposal and sales efforts
  • Actively seeks to identify client's needs that may lead to new opportunities for A&M; manages personal relationships in a business context and maintains an active network of business relationships
  • Establishes an inclusive environment that is positive and engages all team members

Role Expectations - Director:

  • Effectively leads project team to deliver project
  • Scopes and defines overall problem statement, solution and deliverables
  • Viewed as trusted business partner by client
  • Rapidly develops understanding of client's business
  • Decomposes complex issues, frames solution design and architects deliverables against SOW requirements
  • Actively seeks to find client's needs that may lead to new opportunities for A&M; uses personal network to discuss business opportunities
  • Acts as an effective change agent
  • Encourages a positive and inclusive team environment
  • Takes an active mentorship role within the practice

Qualifications :

Technical Skills required:

  • Deep functional expertise in one or more of the following areas: Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP), Logistics & Distribution, Manufacturing & Operations, and/or Sourcing & Procurement
  • Strong ability to develop integrated supply chain strategies and programs involving supplier partnership and channel partner concepts, material planning, maintenance, sourcing, quality, logistics, and distribution
  • Strong business financial acumen
  • Understanding of procurement tools/technology to drive efficiency and rapid cost take out (i.e. eRFX, Spend Analytics, Network Optimization)

General Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant industry and consulting experience (4+ years for Manager; 7+ years for Director)
  • Outcome oriented
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial approach
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal/team skills, high E.Q.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Ability to address strategic issues and act tactically understanding cross functional requirements
  • Comfortable with travel

The salary range for Manager is $135,000 - $160,000 and Director is $150,000 - $210,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
