Summary

The IT Application and Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and performance of the organization's application and data systems. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that all applications and data systems meet organizational needs and are aligned with the overall IT strategy. Additionally, the IT Application and Data Manager will be responsible for managing the IT team responsible for application and data systems development and support.

The candidate must have knowledge of business processes, SDLC, and agile methodologies, and must provide people development coaching, mentoring, and leadership to the IT team. These responsibilities require the candidate to be technically proficient, possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and be focused on both technical solutions and the growth and development of IT team members.

This position is a member of the IT Leadership Team.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure operational stability of the application and data systems, including performance monitoring, change management, troubleshooting, and issue resolution via ITIL processes.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure the availability and reliability of hardware and software components supporting the application and data systems.
  • Lead the development and implementation of application and data systems in line with the organization's IT strategy.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of software solutions and ensure they meet functional and technical requirements as well as ensuring that they are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Collaborate with business process community to identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions that align with the organization's IT strategy.
  • Develop and implement technology standards and procedures for the development and lifecycle management of application and data systems.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, setting clear expectations and ensuring that they are aligned with the organization's overall IT strategy.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends and technologies in application and data systems and recommend changes as needed to keep the organization current and competitive .

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage and track project/program schedules and budgets.
    Provide guidance and support to IT development teams on SDLC and agile methodologies.
  • Strategic vendor management and managed service contracts.
  • Responsible for managing IT controls and procedures.

Education Requirements

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent.

Required Work History

  • 10+ years SAP ERP management experience - preferably with functional areas: Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report.
  • Experience with BDC, Workflows, SAP Web IDE, HANA, Solution Manager, OData, SAP Gateway, XML, BTP and Fiori/UI5 technologies a plus.
  • Experience with file transfer and middleware tools is preferred.
