Manager-IT ERP Business Systems (Finance)



JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary purpose:

The Manager of IT ERP is responsible for overseeing the strategic implementation and continuous improvement of the Oracle Enterprise Cloud solution, encompassing Oracle Fusion for ERP, HCM, and Procurement, as well as EPM modules. In this managerial capacity, the role focuses on ensuring that day-to-day support operations and project initiatives are executed effectively by directing and coordinating the work of specialized teams. The Manager sets the strategic vision and establishes frameworks for system administration, maintenance, and project governance, ensuring that all IT projects align with organizational objectives and that system performance, security, and process enhancements meet established standards.JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of ten (10+) years direct work experience in IT or a related discipline may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
  • MBA or MIS preferred.

Experience/Specific Knowledge:
  • At least 3+ years in an IT leadership role with proven experience managing ERP systems and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in managing budgets for large-scale projects and application support initiatives.
  • Experience managing a diverse vendor ecosystem to ensure robust service delivery and successful system integrations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials, including core financial management functions such as accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in Oracle Fusion Procurement to manage the procure-to-pay cycle and optimize supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud Reporting and Analytics, leveraging integrated reporting tools and dashboards for real-time insights.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion HCM Integration to ensure seamless integration with core ERP functions where applicable.
  • Understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud Integration capabilities to connect Oracle Fusion ERP with other enterprise applications.
  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL in Oracle environments to support data management and customization efforts.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel)
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to mentor and develop team members to enhance business performance.
  • Competence in Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management for effective project tracking, resource allocation, and performance analysis.

  • Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills; must communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel.

  • Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate systems requirements verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.

  • Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:

  • MBA or MIS preferred.
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification preferred.

Compensation:

The salary range for the role is $140,000-$170,000/yr.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team-including developers, system administrators, and technical analysts-by hiring, training, scheduling work assignments, conducting evaluations, and fostering career development.
  • Guide team performance through regular technical reviews and root cause analyses to ensure quality outcomes and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee the Oracle Enterprise Cloud solution, encompassing Oracle Fusion for ERP, HCM, Procurement, and EPM modules, ensuring optimal performance, security, and maintenance.
  • Direct the administration, design, and implementation of the ERP environment and related third-party applications, including system upgrades, patch management, and backup strategies.
  • Monitor system resources and capacity, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the PMO team to ensure that IT initiatives are effectively supported and that essential project management principles are integrated without assuming full project management responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand user requirements and align IT operations with strategic business objectives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service level agreements, and drive performance metrics to ensure the delivery of high-quality support from external partners.
  • Act as a consultative liaison to business stakeholders, ensuring that IT solutions support and enhance strategic business functions.
  • Establish and enforce robust change control procedures and quality assurance measures to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Implement and maintain system management and monitoring tools, ensuring clear communication of system status and any emergency activities.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and recordkeeping for all IT activities.
  • Ensure adherence to data management, security, audit, and privacy regulations across all IT operations.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety for personnel and company assets, and provide after-hours support for escalated issues as necessary.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders with professionalism and tact while performing other duties as assigned.
