Be an active member of the marketing team. Work with teams in the creation of marketing material to support sales and marketing campaigns, including participating in discussions about goals and strategy, guiding projects through the creation cycle, and performing analytics on the results. Support product managers on various aspects of product marketing from conception through post-launch activities, including conducting market research, testing of new products and protocols, project documentation, and product release processes.
Professional Qualifications
Education
B.S. or B.A. in environmental science, marketing, agriculture journalism, or related field required. Experience in both science and marketing desirable but not required.
Experience
Proven experience with some or all of the following software programs: Windows, Apple, Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com, Marketo.
Marketing experience, technical sales experience, or promotional and/or technical writing experience is desirable but not necessary.

Position Responsibilities
PROMOTIONAL MARKETING CAMPAIGNS
Assist in the creation of marketing materials. This includes working with various teams and serving as a project leader for the creation of marketing materials such as web pages, webinars, marketing and sales campaigns, brochures, tradeshow materials, etc.
Participate in product and company branding activities.
Assist with electronic marketing activities related to search engine optimization, social media, electronic advertising, and marketing automation.
Monitor and report on analytics. Make recommendations for improving processes and implement new strategies for maximizing effectiveness.
MARKETING AUTOMATION
Participate in the planning and development of marketing automation strategies.
Learn and develop skills within our marketing automation platform that allow us to maintain a clean database and quickly flow information between stake holders and technology platforms.
Build and maintain marketing automation campaigns including triggered and one-off emails, webinar and training life cycles, automated actions based on user activity, and the import of new leads.
Develop forms, reports, and other related infrastructure to support campaigns.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCT MAINTENANCE
Participate on product development teams. Participate in the product development process from conception through launch, including the testing of new products and measurement protocols, project documentation, and the release to manufacturing and product launch process.
Assist with gathering and analyzing data on markets and competitors. Analyze and report on competitor's strategies, competitor's materials including product information, specifications, website, etc.
Assist with customer development in teams investigating new product opportunities. Engage with customers via telephone calls, e-mails, electronic surveys, face to face visits, and site visits to discern customer perceived needs, gains, and pains.
