Data Scientist I (Biotech)
DAT Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Beaverton, Oregon.
Summary:
The successful candidate will be working in a team environment developing statistical and machine learning models in R and/or Python to solve pressing business problems in the software as a service space. They will participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve internal client issues. They will conduct relevant research, data analysis, and creation of reports for internal clients and be responsible for quantitative analysis of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data working in small teams to develop, test, and harden advanced analytical models as required.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
• Strong orientation to quantitative, data-driven analysis using stats packages in Python or R.
• Understanding of relational databases and data structures
• Strong ability to code in Python, SQL, and R.
Preferred:
• Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities
• Advanced statistics and machine learning/NLP techniques and algorithms using R, Python, Java on ML platforms such as Spark, H20 etc.
