Reimbursement Specialist (Finance)



Work Schedule :

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Applicants hired into this position can work from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process.

We are seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to:

  • Process transplant claims, payments, adjustments, refunds, denials, and unpaid insurance balances.
  • Follow up with third party payers and patients on outstanding account balances (including credit balances) to facilitate prompt resolution of outstanding account balances.
  • Verify patient coverage information and update registration as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field Preferred

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or clinic operations role Required
  • • Epic experience
    • Three years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle, specific to area of expertise (I.e. transplant, research, or client billing)
    Preferred
