Sustainability Data Analyst (Finance)



Sustainability Data Analyst

The sustainability data analyst role will join the Sustainability and EHS team to support Clarios's data, program management, and reporting functions. You will have a global scope of responsibility and regularly interact across geographies, cultures and business functions, compiling and managing high-quality operational and sustainability data (energy, emission, water, waste, etc.) necessary to communicate and track progress on sustainability goals and programs. 

How you will do it

  • Collect, manage, and ensure the quality and integrity of operational sustainability data across Clarios global footprint.
  • Construct data sets, monitor data quality, troubleshoot and resolve database issues to ensure data integrity.
  • Manage and improve operational sustainability data collection processes by collaborating with cross-functional partners across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of processes, procedures and controls around data collection and management conforming with industry benchmarks.
  • Develop reports and visualization tools to analyze metrics necessary for decision-making and transparency.
  • Measure impact of sustainability program activities using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Serve as a content expert on operational sustainability data and performance metrics for internal communications.
  • Assist in preparation of the Clarios Annual Sustainability Report and completion of stakeholder requests including CDP and EcoVadis.
  • Provide flexible support on data-related and analytic needs to other team members on an as-needed basis.
  • Develop fluent knowledge of climate risk, decarbonization, and the latest developments in energy and carbon transition and climate scenarios.
  • Educate and advise internal stakeholders by translating complex information into understandable and actionable insight.
  • Partner with and provide support to plant staff across Clarios' global footprint.
  • Utilize your subject matter knowledge to support new business development opportunities and grow Clarios' climate change proposition.
  • Effectively support ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
  • Limited travel may be required for facility assessments, leadership meetings, conferences, and customer visits.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, or related STEM related field.
  • Passion for and understanding of sustainability and climate-related concepts.
  • 1-2 years of data analysis and reporting experience.
  • High proficiency in data management tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and other data tracking software.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and exhibits high-level organizational skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
