The iconic Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile is seeking a Banquet House Attendant to join their food and beverage team ! This 455-suite property features views of downtown Chicago/Lake Michigan and is just two blocks from the Magnificent Mile and a mile from the Theater District. We're 12-minute walk from entertainment, restaurants, and boat cruises at Navy Pier, and 8 minutes from the Chicago Riverwalk!

Shift Pattern:candidates should be available to workAM/PM/Overnight shifts as needed, any day of the week/weekends/holidays as needed

Pay Rate:$23.90 per hour

What will I be doing?
As a Banquet House Attendant, you would be responsible for setting and cleaning banquet facilities for functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Participate in the placement, service, maintenance, and breakdown of physical sets in the Ballroom and associated areas in conformance with Hilton standards
• Physically place equipment and other items in set up of equipment / e nsure placement of all decorations for the assigned function areas.
• Ensure service areas (meeting levels, including carpets, meeting rooms, back hallway) and storage areas (prop room) are clean/organized, maintained in proper working order; deep cleaning all meeting rooms as assigned.
• Monitor all policies and procedures during set-up, service and break down functions as assignedto ensure safety in accordance with Federal, State and company policies.
• Communicate with Managers, Directors, and fellow team members to deliver all specifications of function.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company. Assist other departments as and when need arises.
