SUPERVISOR, WAREHOUSE (Finance)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and organize warehouse personnel to meet daily requirements including activities related to receiving, labeling, loading, consolidation, and storage of cargo. Provide efficient and systematic shipping and receiving of customers' freight. Train and coordinate the activities of warehouse persons. Work closely with other departments to ensure that operational service offering meets customers requirements PEOPLE MANAGER : Yes

EXPERIENCE : : 3 years of warehouse supervisory experience, with emphasis in areas such as Logistics and Distribution Services. Knowledge of trucking operations, hazardous materials, customs' warehouse regulations and OSHA requirements preferred

EDUCATION: Associate's degree in business/related field or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Interface with Common Carrier and software programs (Magaya) essential for warehouse operations

COMPETENCIES: Strong ability to manage floor personnel and meet expectations. Ability to gather, interpret, report and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to apply skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to train and direct the work of others. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Knowledge of and ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time

FLSA Status: The position is Non-Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health. Apply
