Our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) offers a supportive and nurturing environment where individuals receive exceptional care and rehabilitation services. We're currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and help our residents regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Position Overview:
As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver direct occupational therapy services to our residents. You will assist in implementing personalized treatment plans, working closely with patients to help them develop the skills and confidence to perform daily activities. Your work will have a direct impact on our residents' recovery and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy plans developed by the OT.
  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions aimed at improving residents' abilities to perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Work with residents to improve motor skills, cognitive function, and overall independence.
  • Assist with the use of adaptive equipment and home modifications to enhance functionality.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, providing updates to the supervising OT as necessary.
  • Educate residents and their families about therapeutic activities, home exercises, and safety techniques.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the OT in developing and modifying treatment plans as necessary based on residents' progress.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Current COTA license in [State].
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatrics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, methods, and treatments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
