Retail Site Manager, Special Events - Gear Store (Finance)

The Gear Store products are available online every day to NVIDIA employees but can only be accessed by external audiences through physical store pop-ups at events. As the Retail Site Manager, Special Events, you will lead the events strategy in partnership with the Director, Gear Store bringing physical Gear Stores to life at NVIDIA-owned and third party events around the world. You will lead the day-to-day communications and operations between vendors, NVIDIA's event managers, Merchandising, and Creative teams, ultimately accountable for delivering operationally sound events that meet brand expectations and deliver against key critical metrics. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a requirement, as well as the ability to balance many moving parts under aggressive schedules. You should be able to work under a minimal amount of supervision and act as a problem solver!

What you'll be doing:

  • Plan, implement, and lead physical Gear Stores at events from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Events, Marketing, Creative) and fabricators to align physical stores with brand and event objectives.
  • Work closely with the Gear Store Merchant to ensure store design meets assortment requirements and delivers an engaging visual merchandising experience.
  • Manage budgets, vendors, and timelines, ensuring all elements of store design and operations are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Lead all aspects of vendor relationships, including fabricators, POS operators, staffing agencies, and more. This includes owning new vendor outreach (RFP) when needed.
  • Work with Event team leads to coordinate all event logistics, including permits, shipping, set-up, and breakdown.
  • Hire, train, and lead on-site staff to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
  • Track critical metrics and event performance (traffic, transactions, revenue, etc.) and deliver post-event recaps and insights.
  • Stay current on retail trends and experiential standard processes to help innovate future pop-up strategies.

What we need to see:

  • 8+ years of experience in event planning, retail activations, or experiential marketing in large scale events (10K+ attendance, high tech industry preferred).
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Shown success in running pop-up shops or mobile retail experiences.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple events across various time zones simultaneously under tight timelines.
  • Creative problem solver with a deep understanding of how physical experiences impact brand perception.
  • Proficient in budgeting, contracting, purchase order, and event management tools.
  • Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours when needed. Estimated global travel 5-8 weeks per year.

The base salary range is 128,000 USD - 270,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
