Tax Professional/Supervisor Retail Tax Offices- Kettering (Finance)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include three years or more of experience in the preparation of individual tax returns, including federal, state, school district, and city income tax returns. You must be comfortable interviewing your client and completing the tax return while the client is sitting at your desk. You must have a valid PTIN issued by the IRS
The IDEAL candidate will also have one or more of the following qualifications: - Experience in the preparation of Schedule C, Schedule D, and Schedule E

Assists when needed in scheduling budgeting (saving the company monies in wasting payroll and supplies)
Assists when needed in staffing, productivity, and marketing for various offices within an assigned area..
Assists Franchise owner
Assists in Marketing, developing marketing strategy, plan, and goals, as well as analyzing current campaigns to increase sales.
Assists in recruiting, interviews, and train/support preparers and, upon passing the Tax Preparation Course.
Ensure preparers provide exceptional customer service to the Company's potential and current customers. Coaches, mentors and trains office managers.
Helps establish goals and guides Office Managers to achieve them Manages and monitors overall performance and productivity including but not limited to tax school students, retention rate and recruitment rate, tax returns, discounts, HOLDs, void rates, InMoment reports and NPS scores, company product sales, etc.
Observe tax office staff behaviors and performance reports throughout the day to get a sense of what is happening in each office. Identify any potential issues that may have a negative impact on the customer's experience. Observe tax preparers as they work through the Tax Return Interview process. Listen to the interaction and make certain that all Due Diligence questions are being asked.
Support employees as necessary to address and resolve all questions and issues.
Finalize Time Tracker bi-weekly and approve billable hours.
Schedule and lead manager meetings
Develops and Executes Local Marketing plans & Strategies Manages the implementation of company products and promotions
Communicates and tracks goals
Establishes mandatory training sessions such as Tax Season training and Mid-Season meetings.
Routinely reviews Return Management to verify that tax returns are being processing in a timely manner. Monitor the Red Flag Report per the guidelines established in the Tax Return Compliance Manual and per franchisee guidelines.
Creates and manages weekly schedules to ensure proper staffing rations and implements adjustments due to customer needs.
Supply tax preparers with Jackson Hewitt materials.
Maintain cash balancing (DAS).
Generates and monitors call campaigns Manages the opening and closing of all offices and oversees sick days and tardiness of staff.
Monitors and oversees Client Ticketing System (Our CRM). Assigns tasks for staff and follows through to confirm assignments have been completed.
Head of Tax Research for tax issues and supports staff on client letters and questions.
