Software Engineering Senior Advisors- Hybrid (Finance)



The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna -Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities-

  • Responsible for the technical solution within Pega including enterprise class structure, data model and application framework.
  • Customize PEGA applications' software as per organization's needs to increase operational efficiency.
  • Review and understand the best approach to implement requirements and communicate the same to the project team.
  • Raise conflicts, complications, and issues in the specifications and provide sizing estimates.
  • Ensure adherence to the Pega systems development guardrails as well as the original design principles.
  • Perform Gap-Analysis and Business process re-engineering.
  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on business. Perform appropriate tasks required to initiate a project based on the version of the PRPC being used (either Application Profiler/Accelerator or Application Express or Stage configuration).
  • Oversee the proper configuration of the application security model.
  • Perform complex system configurations tasks, configuration of authentication services, and oversee the Rule-Set versioning strategy and execution.
  • Create reports using Report Definition rules to achieve the report requirements. Create and update the Business Process Flow Diagrams and implement the User actions using Flow actions.
  • Effectively use Connect-SQL Rules for connecting to external databases.
  • Create Decision Rules like when condition Rules, Decision Table Rules, Decision Tree Rules and Map Value Rules.
  • Monitor the administration of application servers, databases, logs etc., in order to ensure proper functioning of the application systems.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting issues of the application using PRPC tools like Rules Inspector, Clipboard, Tracer, and log files.
  • Deploy and maintain Applications or systems across the various environments. Configure more complex Java, HTML/JavaScript components where necessary.

Qualifications-

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and 3 years of IT experience. (or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and 5 years of IT experience). Must have experience with: Designing and developing high level class structure in PRPC based on the organizational hierarchy; Designing and configuring tools built using Pega PRPC in Polaris; Integrating the Pega applications with other enterprise systems CBM, Alfresco, Service now and Product Management Tool (PMT); Analyzing and improving the performance of applications in production; Pega Autonomic Event Services to gather, monitor, and analyze performance and health indicators from Multiple Pega BPM systems across the enterprise; Application support using various monitoring tools Splunk, Elk for Log monitoring and Dynatrace for Application Performance Monitoring; Creating Skin Rules for presenting and styling various UI elements; System administration including maintain Rule sets, application and access groups, and work groups; Implementation of decision tables, decision maps, and declarative expressions; Creating custom flow shapes in Pega to create ticket to service; and, Automating the deployment of Pega RAPS across various environments using Jenkins and Github.

Must have the following certifications: Certified Pega System Architect (CSA) and Certified Pega Senior System Architect (CSSA)

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
