Registered Nurse (Healthcare)
Registered Nurse Needed Full-Time for our PM Shift
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality general and psychiatric nursing care to adults with emotional or psychiatric disorders. The RN position will serve actively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization and program philosophy of care; to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.
The RN demonstrates sound leadership and strong communication skills
Record of consistently high quality of clinical and interpersonal skills to be an exemplary role model to others
The RN displays basic knowledge of treatment procedures/familiarity of psychotropic medications
Interventions common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice
The RN has basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the psychiatric patient population
Basic knowledge of medical terminology especially those terms associated with psychiatric care
Experience:
Registered Nurse 1 year preferred.
Psychiatric Registered Nurse 1 year preferred but not required.
License:
Registered Nurse Current State of California Board of Registered Nursing License in good standing required.
BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Certificate required.

API is a free-standing psychiatric hospital in La Mesa, California with 4 Intensive Outpatient/Partial Hospitalization Programs (IOP/PHP). API provides comprehensive adult inpatient behavioral health and addictive disorders services in a 66-bed hospital setting. API also offers a variety of Outpatient Services designed to assist patients in functioning at the highest level. These programs emphasize symptom management, community integration' and prevention of hospitalization or re-hospitalization. Experience:
