What You'll Do

As a Systems Application Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering cutting-edge building automation systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing bid specifications and preparing exception documentation.
  • Designing cost-effective solutions using the right mix of products and installation methods.
  • Creating installation submittals and transitioning projects to operations.
  • Acting as a technical expert for internal teams and customers.
  • Participating in job site walk-throughs and turnover meetings.
  • Developing detailed BAS designs including mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, sequences of operation, and network architecture.
  • Ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Supporting commissioning with startup documentation and engineering re-estimates.
  • Preparing RFIs and managing hardware/engineering standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in building automation or controls.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical training.
  • Proficiency in reading architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Visio, and file structures.
  • Knowledge of BACnet, LON, and Modbus protocols.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
