What You'll Do
As a Systems Application Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering cutting-edge building automation systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing bid specifications and preparing exception documentation.
- Designing cost-effective solutions using the right mix of products and installation methods.
- Creating installation submittals and transitioning projects to operations.
- Acting as a technical expert for internal teams and customers.
- Participating in job site walk-throughs and turnover meetings.
- Developing detailed BAS designs including mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, sequences of operation, and network architecture.
- Ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
- Supporting commissioning with startup documentation and engineering re-estimates.
- Preparing RFIs and managing hardware/engineering standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in building automation or controls.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical training.
- Proficiency in reading architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Visio, and file structures.
- Knowledge of BACnet, LON, and Modbus protocols.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
