Sr. iOS Developer (Information Technology)



Position Description

The Senior iOS Developer will be instrumental in the design, development and
enhancement of innovative and robust iOS applications. The developer will participate in the entire app lifecycle from the research and concept stages through to delivery and post-launch support

Essential Job Functions

• Independently craft project solutions by applying solid Object-Oriented-Design
principles
• Collaborate and discuss with other developers to develop software solutions
• Apply Test Driven Development when designing and writing code
• Create compelling user experiences by leveraging the best features of the iOS
platform in an app
• Conduct regular code reviews with both local and offshore teams to improve codequality, design, and tests
• Attend Retrospective meetings to discuss solutions to technical and process
challenges
• Promote culture of Agile Software Development including learning and sharing
industry best practices among team
• Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and open-source alternatives
• Complete application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
• Contribute to team meetings and take initiative in offering system improvements and solutions
• Troubleshoot development and production problems
• Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools
• Update industry knowledge by researching new technologies and software
products, participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks and promoting such activities among team
• Explore new opportunities to add value to product and process and present to team

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Developed custom frameworks or static libraries
• Developed in Swift - Objective-C
• iOS security infrastructure
• Methodologies for designing apps that scale and optimize across both phones and tablets
• SQLite, Shared Preferences, Content Providers

Education and Experience

• Strong English Written and Verbal Communication
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years developing native (Objective-C) iOS apps
• Object-Oriented-Design in Objective-C
• Design of efficient and reliable multithreaded applications
• Design of Web Services clients
• Git or some other distributed version control system
• Experience with publishing apps to the App Store
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 121,900 - 203,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
