Internal After School Program Coordinator — Stipend Roles for Teachers (Education)
Employee Type: Current NMA teacher (stipended, exempt from overtime for this assignment)
Term: School year, with role assignments by season/semester
Schedule Windows:
Sports: Tuesdays & Thursdays, approx. 2:305:30 PM (by season)
Hmong Enrichment: Wednesdays, approx. 2:305:30 PM (year-round blocks)
Academic Enrichment (Clubs): Wednesdays, approx. 2:305:30 PM (year-round blocks)

Reports To: Assistant Principal and Principal/ED
Core Responsibilities (All Coordinators)
Program Planning & Calendar
Draft seasonal/semester plans with dates, locations, staffing, and student capacity; ensure alignment with Tue/Thu sports and Wed enrichment.
Student Recruitment & Enrollment
Coordinate flyers, ParentSquare posts, and homeroom announcements; manage sign-ups, waitlists, and consent forms.
Safety, Supervision & Compliance
Maintain rosters, attendance, and dismissal logs daily; enforce ratios; complete incident reports; ensure mandated-reporter and first-aid protocols.
Equity & Inclusion
Ensure accommodations for students with IEP/504/EL needs; proactively plan culturally sustaining activities (with Hmong programming embedded where applicable).
Daily Operations
Room setups, equipment checkout, snack counts, transportation coordination (buses/families), and end-of-day sweep/room reset.
Staff Management
Create staff schedules; onboard EAs/coaches/instructors; lead quick huddles; collect timesheets.
Family Communication
Send weekly updates (ParentSquare); communicate schedule changes; log contacts for behavior/injury/attendance concerns.
Budget & Purchasing
Track expenditures against approved budgets; submit purchase requests and receipts on time.
Role-Specific Addenda
A. Athletics Coordinator (Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball)
Build practice/game schedules; confirm officials, transportation, and facility reservations.
Oversee equipment inventory; ensure safety gear and first-aid are available.
Coordinate tryouts (if used), eligibility checks, and grade/behavior monitoring.
Lead coach check-ins; align sidelines and bench expectations with NMA culture.
Submit game results, player highlights, and family updates weekly.
B. Hmong Cultural Enrichment Coordinator (Qeej, Paj Ntaub, Dance, Performing Arts, Cooking)
Curate Wednesday enrichment blocks; coordinate instructors/volunteers and room assignments.
Ensure cultural authenticity and alignment with community partners and NMA events (Hmong New Year, Hmong American Day).
Manage materials (instruments, fabric, costumes) and storage systems.
C. Academic Enrichment Coordinator (Clubs)
Align clubs to student interests and expectations.
Coordinate targeted support lists with teachers (students missing work, skill gaps).
Qualifications
Current NMA teacher in good standing; strong classroom management and family communication
Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally sustaining practice
Experience coordinating student activities or teams (preferred)
Training & Onboarding
Required: Safety/mandated reporter refresher; dismissal procedures; incident report training; snack compliance; transportation coordination
Role-specific clinics (coaching standards; enrichment safety; academic supports)
Evaluation & Renewal
Mid-term check-in and end-of-term evaluation against KPIs and deliverables
