The Brand Strategy team is dedicated to improving the perception of F5 as a leading application delivery and security platform company. The team is responsible for defining the F5 narrative, shaping the brand architecture that helps customers understand our product portfolio, monitoring brand health, and driving content strategy that encourages brand visibility.
As a key member of the Brand Strategy team, the Brand Manager will be focused on facilitating research, measuring brand health, and crafting content strategies, while evangelizing these items across the organization. This role will be collaborating with internal teams across all geographies. We work closely with Integrated Marketing, Comms, Creative, Field, Channel, PMM, AR, Tech Alliances, HR, Global Good, Events, Customer Experience, Sales, Professional Services and other organizational specialists to ensure our brand initiatives are strategically aligned to business strategies, customer needs, and product features.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
Lead brand health research biannually with an emphasis on co-creating actionable findings from the data
Restructure research approach as needed to increase confidence in outcomes
Share insights from research internally, focusing on actionability
Maintain brand levers dashboard, partnering cross-functionally to analyze key metrics
Coordinate with other F5 teams gathering research to enhance our insights from collective data
Collaborate with Creative team to maintain brand standards, keeping resources up to date
Articulate the F5 narrative to multiple audiences
Work closely with campaign, digital and experiential teams to infuse the F5 narrative into relevant messaging documents and content across key channels
Own F5.com home page strategy, reporting, and coordination
Drive content strategy in key areas that fill F5 gaps in F5 marketplace visibility

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to see the big picture and the details all at once (e.g. brand and business strategy)
Understanding of strategic brand concepts including brand architecture, sub-branding, and product portfolio management
Experience in fielding and/or analyzing qualitative and quantitative research
Knowledge of branding and positioning fundamentals
Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills, with high attention to detail
Ability to exhibit solid interpersonal skills and build relationships across multiple departments and all levels of management, as well as outside the company
Qualifications
5-7+ years of real-world brand management experience with the care and nurturing of a publicly visible brand
Technology experience or knowledge of B2B, applications and open source is a plus
Excellent market or brand research experience
Experience in web content strategy and/or UX
Experience working with creative teams/agencies or vendors is a plus
Ability to listen, be nimble and adapt quickly to strategic changes
Team player who can independently drive processes and tight timelines successfully
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane; less than 10% of the time spent traveling.

The annual base pay for this position is: $99,374.00 - $149,062.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
