YOUR ROLE
- Prepare raw materials and equipment to conduct Process Engineering led experiments. Follow process instructions for the execution of experiments and document processing conditions and observations throughout the experiment.
- Possess the ability to use and maintain basic laboratory, analytical, and process equipment.
- Maintain chemical inventories of common use items. Ensure proper labeling of raw materials. Dispense bulk raw materials into smaller containers for use by the labs. Perform inventory transactions in Science Cloud (chemical inventory software).
- Prepare product samples for use in consumer tests or sales samples.
- Supervise temporary labor workers as required for special projects.
- Order laboratory supplies and raw materials in Ariba (purchasing software).
- Set-up, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and practices. Maintain a safe work environment.
YOUR SKILLS
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- A self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with good time management.
- Ability to work with machinery in a pilot plant atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate laboratory batch production records.
- Team orientated, positive attitude, enthusiastic about learning new tasks.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate Degree in a technical field or technical diploma is preferred.
- Candidate must be mechanically inclined and possess working knowledge of general laboratory equipment and process equipment.
- Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes
- Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
