Clinical Program Advisor - Remote - Express Scripts (Academic Detailing) (Finance)



POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Program Advisor, Provider Engagement will support quality, safety and trend initiatives within the Express Scripts Provider Engagement Department. The position is instrumental in ensuring that all physician consultation initiatives are supported according to specifications for clients enrolled in the Health Connect 360 program. The Provider Engagement Pharmacists will engage directly with providers to address gaps and omissions of care with the goal of improving clinical outcomes and goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Utilize Express Scripts' multiple data analytics programs and tools to monitor and analyze trends in providers prescribing patterns.
  • Collaborates with clients, the client's Express Scripts account team and other stakeholders to optimize opportunities for educating prescribers. The goal is to improve clinical and financial outcomes and support trend management, including the appropriate promotion of generic and formulary prescribing in alignment with client and Express Scripts' strategic goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of activities and track clinical and financial impact to client and client's members.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to staff meetings, committees, and departmental work groups to share best practices, improve processes and address other items related to provider engagement.
  • Engage in formal and informal training programs and professional development activities which may include attending, developing and/or conducting sessions.
  • Provide backup support to other members of the team as needed and perform additional duties as determined by the client or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a current Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills required.
  • Showcase proven leadership skills, a team-oriented approach, proactive management style, and a strong commitment to client service.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, resolving complex issues, and demonstrating strong project management skills.
  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple internal reporting and analytic tools, employing advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of PBM and Managed Care industry preferred.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 95,100 - 158,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
