What you'll be challenged to do:
The UAS Program Manager reports directly to the Corporate office and is responsible for leading the safe integration of drones into TranSystems market sectors.
The position is responsible for performing the managerial, supervisory, professional, technical, and administrative work required to build and manage a successful UAS program for TranSystems. The position leads short- and long-range planning, organizing and managing daily operations, quality assurance, staff development, research, fiscal management and oversight, policy and procedure development and oversight, and compliance monitoring and reporting.
This position requires the highest level of technical and applied knowledge in UAS and the ability to interact effectively at the highest levels of business, government and federal sectors. Primary stakeholders and partners include TranSystems leadership, technical staff and personnel from all market sectors, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), other government and non-government agencies, UAS companies, technology providers and the general public. This position operates with high levels of accountability, authority and consequence of error.
Among its primary areas of focus, the position is responsible for leading the development of business and supporting serves that supports our clients' needs. A key element of this program is the development of a UAS Program that will capitalize new uses for drones and will improve efficiency and safety. The position is responsible for maintaining a trained team of UAS pilots who can provide UAS operational support and services to TranSystems market sectors and providing fleet management for procurement and maintenance of TranSystem's fleet of drones. These services include but are not limited to aerial photography, aerial inspections, UAS mission support, UAS permitting support, and UAS operation training.
The position develops and maintains, in conjunction with TranSystems marketing team, a communications plan for the UAS program.
