Production Supervisor, Assembly & Plating (Finance)



Job Summary:

As the Supervisor of Production, you will lead and coordinate all activities and personnel in your designated department(s). Your primary goal is to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. You will act as the main interface between these departments and other company functions, fostering effective communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a well-trained, competent staff, focusing on enhancing the technical and interpersonal skills of group leaders
  • Ensure employees have the necessary tools, equipment, and components to complete their assignments
  • Hire, supervise, discipline, and evaluate department personnel
  • Collaborate with Group Leaders to optimize production schedules and resource utilization
  • Monitor progress to ensure adherence to production schedules
  • Implement cost-effective assembly procedures and continuous improvement processes
  • Communicate effectively with department employees and management regarding work habits, policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist floor engineers with failure analysis and recommend corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure equipment is operated correctly and safely
  • Maintain quality and ethical standards
  • Enforce safety rules and maintain a clean, orderly work environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues
  • Respond to internal and external technical inquiries
  • Establish and maintain efficiency standards, measuring performance against them
  • Participate in special projects and teams as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Operations Management, with coursework in Process and/or Project Management preferred
  • Experience supervising over 25 employees preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-specific products, fixture design, assembly techniques, technical problem resolution, workforce and customer preferences preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to proactively address staff needs and effectively listen, motivate, and coach

Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $75,000

Salary Maximum: $95,000

Incentive: No
