Rayser Holdings Inc. Cedar Rapids has an opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team! The Staff Accountant is an on-site, full-time position (Monday through Friday) that offers great potential for career growth and professional development.

Responsibilities:
Sorts, researches, and verifies payables to be paid
Processes invoices including coding, data entry, and filing payables
Prints and mails payments
Prepares bank reconciliations and deposits
Completes credit applications for approval
Prepares Sales Tax Exempt and W-9 requests
Contacts other Companylocations and vendors to resolve issues such as unpaid invoices, checks not cashed, missing credits, etc.
Prepares and posts journal entries weekly and monthly in compliance with Company procedure
Addresses inquiries and resolves discrepancies regarding accounting and payroll transactions as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Proven accounting and/or payroll experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Must have solid computer skills including Microsoft Office and the internet
HRIS and NetSuite software experience is desirable
Hands-on experience with intermediate level Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Background and knowledge of accounting theory and financial analysis and practice
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Post offer, pre-employment background checks, reference checks, drug screen, and TB test required.
