ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

WUSF public media is a leading source of news, information, and cultural enrichment for West Central Florida. We reach over one million people monthly through our NPR news station WUSF 89.7, Classical WSMR 89.1 & 103.9, and an extensive digital presence including live streaming, podcasts, newsletters, and social media. As a department of the University of South Florida, we have a dedicated team of 80 professionals and an annual budget of $10 million. Our professional staff works closely with talented student interns. Our main studios are on the USF Tampa campus, with additional broadcast and production facilities on the USFSM and USFSP campuses.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position functions as the receptionist and performs a variety of clerical duties in support of WUSF. Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. Hours: 8 am - 5 pm. No remote work.MINIMUM:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two or more years of experience in an office or administrative support position. College or other relevant post-secondary coursework may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. Testing may be required to assess competency on word processing software.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:

4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for a master's degree.

PREFERRED:

Telephone skills and basic computer skills, such as working knowledge of how to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, are required. Associate degree preferred.Working at USF

Serves as telephone and visitor receptionist for WUSF. Responds to inquiries regarding WUSF functions and procedures. Researches routine inquiries/problems and recommends solutions. Provides clerical support to multiple departments. Duties include preparing agendas, data entry, maintaining accurate membership/donor records, preparing donor correspondence, and coordinating the distribution of member materials. Supports other departments as needed with scheduling, filing, document preparation, and interdepartmental communications to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. Assists with events and promotional activities, and membership drives.

Prepares travel authorization requests and travel expense reimbursement requests. Coordinates and manages the reservation of office spaces, parking spaces, and conference rooms.

Sorts and distributes incoming mail. Serves as primary contact for the USF Foundation, Post Office, UPS, FedEx, and all other pickup and delivery services. Assists staff with completing appropriate procedures for requesting pickup/delivery services. Prepares mailings as needed for additional departments within the organization.

Keeps an inventory of office supplies and orders items as needed. Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including kitchen surfaces, countertops, sink, and microwaves, and ensures that the needed cleaning supplies are ordered and readily available.

Performs other duties as assigned. Apply
