Operations HPM Station Manager/Director (Finance)

Description:
Manages and oversees administration for Houston Public Media radio and television programming, operations, technology and broadcast production. Serves as a liaison between stations and national and regional public broadcasting organizations. Pursuant to the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, this position researches, works on, or has access to critical infrastructure and requires the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the University infrastructure. This position requires personnel be routinely reviewed to determine whether or not criminal history or continuous connections for the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the employee from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.
1. Serves as administrator for all broadcast activities at Houston Public Media (HPM).
2. Supervises heads of News, Content, Broadcast Operations and Technology.
3. Assists General Manager with strategic planning and decision-making.
4. Represents HPM at broadcast industry and community meetings and events.
5. Works jointly with General Manager to establish partnership opportunities for HPM.
6. Integrates HPM with international, national, state, regional and local broadcast organizations.
7. Promotes HPM through interaction with community leaders, UH faculty and staff, and corporate representatives.
8. Serves in the absence of the General Manager.
9. Performs fundraising activities as assigned.
10. Performs other job-related duties as required.
MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
