Supervisor, Pharmacy Technical - University Hospital (3548) (Project Management)

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technical Supervisor to: - Create a supportive and motivating work environment. - Supervise the day-to-day activities of inpatient pharmacy operations. - Methodically, strategically, and collaboratively make decisions and solve problems. - Hire, train, develop, and retain staff. This includes recognizing where the strengths are, where improvement is needed, and how to properly use the skillsets of each team member. - Develop systems to improve staff productivity and workload efficiency. - Maintain and triage repair of technological equipment and pharmacy automation systems. Education: Minimum – High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred – Baccalaureate degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience Work Experience: Minimum – - Three (3) years management experience, or three (3) years work experience involving drug preparation and dispensing, sterile product preparation, inventory control, quality assurance and improvement, teaching, training, and pharmacy computer systems. - One (1) year of leadership experience Licenses and Certifications: Preferred - Pharmacy Technician Certification Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Basic mathematic ability - Ability to supervise and manage people - Time and task management, prioritization, and organizational skill - Communication skills (both verbal and written). - Ability to operate computers (preferably using Microsoft Office and other Windows-based programs). - Ability to operate pharmacy computer applications for order entry, inventory control, billing and record keeping. Physical Requirements: Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. W ork Schedule: This is a full-time, 100% FTE position scheduled to work 40 hours per week. This position will work at the primary location of University Hospital and alternate between 1st and 2nd shift oversight. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
