Lodging Agent (Project Management)



SUMMARY
Responsible for working as both a Reservations Agent and Front Desk Agent. You will be promoting and selling Grand Targhee while offering exceptional guest service. This includes booking lodging, activity reservations and equipment rentals. This position requires the ability to multitask, while being very detail oriented. As a customer focused organization, the goal is to help create a positive environment for guests from their first point of contact through their entire stay.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Act as a Targhee Ambassador, demonstrating excellent guest service and inspiring guests to discover genuine experiences and adventures at Grand Targhee Resort.Answer the Reservations Office telephone lines and emails with the intent to sell potential guests lodging accommodations, vacation packages and/ or other available services that best suit guest Clearly understand and effectively communicate special rates, packages and promotions that are implemented on a continuing basis throughout the year.Must be able to explain all product policies in a clear and concise manner to avoid any Book and cancel reservations according to policies and procedures ensuring that fees are accurately quoted and charged.Provide guests with the appropriate email confirmationFollow up on all inquiries received in a timely manner and based on the inquiry management system policies and procedures in place.Process deposits and final payments on all reservations according to current policies. Update and maintain inquiry and guest data information, waiting lists, and reservation Work with various third-party companies to process and confirm reservations, maintain availability in various databases, and charge applicable fees.Keep guest data base current and accurate in RTP and Versa.Maintain current knowledge of the Resort and seasonal activities Maintain knowledge of local and regional events, activities and points of interest to enhance our guests experiences.Check lodging guests in and out of rooms efficiently using lodging software.Perform lodging in-house guest audits and reporting.Guest Resolution Service, solve guests problems or report the problems to a supervisor.Performing sales tasks such as selling lift tickets, resort activities and upselling rooms based on availability.Accurately perform and balance monetary transactions and explain guest folios/receipts.Flexible working hours, this includes working weekends, holidays, morning/day, evening shifts and possibly overnight shifts. Some job sharing may be required.Light cleaning around Front Desk and Lobby.Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
Protect the safety of self-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resorts Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK SCHEDULE
Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma and related job experience preferred. Typing and basic 10 key skills required. Strong working knowledge of basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office is required. Experience with RDP (Property Management System) and RTP (Point of Sale System) are helpful but will train.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally on a level appropriate with guests, peers and staff. Able to communicate effectively via phone and email.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
