Process Engineer (Finance)



Job Summary The Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous manufacturing processes to improve output, quality, and cost efficiency. This role supports both local and global product lines by creating and maintaining standard methods, tooling designs, and process documentation. Key responsibilities include supporting lean manufacturing, validating production systems, and driving cost-reduction initiatives. The role is highly technical and collaborative, with a focus on tooling innovation, method development, and product lifecycle support. Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain manufacturing methods for domestic and global product lines. Evaluate processes and tooling for new and existing products. Conduct fault diagnostics, root cause analysis, and time studies. Design and maintain tools such as BOO/BOM configurators and method creation systems. Review product drawings and create method-of-manufacture documentation. Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. Support global distributors with updated methods and tooling guidance. Assist with product cost estimation and design for manufacturability. Coordinate activities of technical and production staff. Train employees on work instructions and process standards. Utilize Epicor, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office to support project execution. Uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence. Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator. Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices. Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of relevant production or process engineering experience. Physical: Regular walking, standing, sitting, climbing, bending, and crouching May lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Use of hand tools, technical equipment, and standard office technology Working Conditions: Work is performed primarily in a production and office environment with exposure to machinery, moderate noise, and standard shop materials. Knowledge: -Manufacturing processes, component specifications, and quality systems. -Production documentation, lean principles, and continuous improvement methods. -ERP and CAD systems used in industrial environments. Skills: -Root cause analysis, technical communication, and process evaluation. -Time management, attention to detail, and procedural accuracy. -Software proficiency in Epicor, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite. Abilities: -Interpret engineering drawings and product specifications. -Adapt to changing process needs and prioritize tasks effectively. -Support cross-functional collaboration across production and technical teams. -Apply consistent judgment and initiative in process improvements.
