Director, Program Manager - Oracle HR Cloud Support (Finance)



SALARY: $145,000

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Director, Program Manager for Oracle SAAS Support is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives that support the optimization and evolution of Oracle-based ERP systems. This role ensures alignment between operational needs and IT capabilities, driving improvements in service delivery, user experience, and system performance.

Working closely with leadership, IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Director will manage a portfolio of projects that enhance Oracle ERP functionality, compliance, and integration with enterprise systems. The role requires strong program management skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans within an agile framework.

The Director oversees multiple project teams and vendors, ensuring timely delivery, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. This position plays a key role in shaping the future of ERP technology at the institution, fostering innovation while maintaining operational excellence.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or other field involving software and analytical training from a regionally accredited institution, and seven years of IT related exempt level experience, OR a Bachelor's degree with no specific required field and eight years of IT related work experience, OR a combination of ten years of IT related work experience. Appropriate industry certification is required to demonstrate training. In all cases, at least seven years of IT related work experience must be at the exempt professional level and five years of experience must involve management and supervision of exempt professional IT staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Oracle HCM Cloud, PeopleSoft Finance, HR data analysis, HR compliance standards, Agile Framework, Jira, Program Planning, Risk Management, Stakeholder Reporting, Understanding of APIs and Middleware.

SOFT SKILLS:
Leadership, Presenting, Strategic Thinking, Problem Solving, Critical thinking, Attention to Detail, Communication, Influence, Time Management, Team Management, Adaptability.

INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of core HR functions such as talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration. As well as core finance functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc. Awareness of labor laws, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and compliance frameworks relevant to HR systems. Understanding of how Agile methodologies apply to ERP solutions, including SAFe or similar frameworks.

  • Strategic Leadership:
    Align program portfolios with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
    Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define long-term goals and vision.

  • Program Management:
    Lead execution of ERP support programs using Agile principles.
    Develop and implement scalable processes and best practices.
    Monitor program performance and drive continuous improvement through metrics and feedback.
  • Stakeholder and Customer Engagement:
    Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on ERP priorities.
    Manage escalations and resolve conflicting stakeholder priorities.
    Align product vision with customer needs and business outcomes.
    Represent Oracle ERP support in executive-level discussions, advocating for product strategy.
  • Agile Transformation:
    Act as a champion for Agile methodologies, driving adoption and adherence across the organization.
  • Mentorship:
    Collaborate with Resource Managers and senior leaders to assess performance and set goals.
    Mentor and support Product Owners and Program Managers to build competency and independence in their roles.
    Identify opportunities for professional development and skill-building within the portfolio.
