  • Mechanical Systems Maintenance
    • Diagnose and repair plant equipment including Gorman-Rupp and Air-Operated Diaphragm pumps, motors, air compressors, valves, tanks, and flowmeters
    • Conduct preventive maintenance on plant infrastructure (piping, tanks, valves)
  • Treatment Equipment Operation
    • Learn and maintain DAF units, Tricanter centrifuges, sludge systems, and level indicators
    • Participate in water sampling, sludge control, and waste processing
  • Electrical and Fabrication
    • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and interact with PLC control panels
    • Weld or fabricate railings, stairs, and tank supports as needed
  • Facility Maintenance & Support
    • Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and technicians to maintain uptime and safety
    • Assist with environmental safety initiatives and structural upkeep

What You'll Need

  • City of Houston Grade 2 Stationary Engineer License (REQUIRED)
  • 3–5 years experience in mechanical maintenance in industrial, wastewater, or utility settings
  • Strong skills in pump/valve maintenance, electrical systems (LOTO/troubleshooting), and piping infrastructure
  • Welding/fabrication experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with sludge processing, DAF systems, or similar wastewater tools is a plus

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay: $30–$40/hr, depending on experience and license
  • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Ongoing technical training and opportunities for growth
  • Mission-driven work culture focused on sustainability, safety, and service
