Licensing / Compliance Administrator (Finance)



Business License Administrator

As a Business License Administrator at Honeywell, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) business unit regarding business licenses and renewals. In this critical role, you will manage the end-to-end process of applying for, renewing, and auditing business licenses across various jurisdictions. Your responsibilities will include reviewing applications, gathering required documentation, processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant local, county, and state/provincial regulations.

You will also be accountable for maintaining existing licenses, developing licensing strategies, and ensuring ongoing compliance. This role reports directly to the Americas Compliance Manager and is based in Atlanta, GA, following a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of business licenses and related records
  • Respond to inquiries regarding license requirements and application processes
  • Evaluate existing licenses for ongoing compliance with applicable regulations
  • Collaborate across business units to assess licensing needs
  • Track license expiration dates and manage timely renewals, including issuing reminders and processing renewal applications
  • Process new license applications, verify documentation, and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders
  • Coordinate with legal, HR, and business teams to monitor certifications of qualified individuals
  • Ensure subcontractor licenses are valid and up to date
  • Deliver training to business teams on licensing procedures and best practices
