Scheduling Coordinator (Healthcare)



Scheduler for Assisted Living and Memory Care creates and manages staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts, while also handling time-off requests and addressing call-outs. This role is crucial for maintaining quality care and smooth operations in these facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Creation and Management: Developing daily and master schedules for nursing staff (including caregivers medication aides) and other support staff.

Shift Coverage: Ensuring each shift is adequately staffed based on resident census, call-offs, and scheduled time-off.

Addressing Staffing Needs: Filling open shifts, managing call-outs, and coordinating with staffing agencies when necessary.

Time-Off Management: Reviewing and approving time-off requests, and communicating accommodations to staff.

Attendance Tracking: Monitoring employee attendance (tardiness, absences), and reporting issues to management.

Communication: Maintaining clear communication with staff regarding schedules, changes, and staffing needs.

Compliance: Ensuring schedules comply with staffing ratios and regulations.

Administrative Tasks: Assisting with various administrative and clerical tasks, such as updating timecards and maintaining employee files.

Payroll: May be involved in the bi-weekly timecard approval process for payroll.

Maintaining Staff Availability: Keeping an updated list of available PRN (as-needed) staff.

Orientation: Ensuring newly hired staff have schedules on their first day. Apply
