INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER (Finance)



Work closely in collaboration with the manager of design, learning & performance strategists, senior instructional designer, subject matter experts (SMEs) and development teams to create effective learning solutions designed to meet business needs and produce measurable results. W rite and visually design elevated leadership development programs that shape role competency for critical functions—from Category Management and Finance to emerging Technology roles—across upper management and executive levels. Translate complex business and technical concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences that influence organizational capability and career pathways for all facets of the company, including Retail Supermarkets, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Corporate. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.Minimum
- 2+ years of instructional design experience
- Strong understanding of instructional design and analysis methodologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong information gathering and rapport-building skills

Desired
- Bachelor's Degree instructional design or education
- Any experience using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Any project management experience
- Any experience using training, education, and communication methods-Develop and script advanced leadership-development modules that drive role clarity and decision-making acumen for senior leaders and executives

-Collaborate with SMEs in category management, finance, technology and other key pillars of the business to ensure technical accuracy and business relevance of all content

-Design visual frameworks (job maps, competency models, scenario-based simulations) that support career-pathing and performance benchmarks for critical roles

- Ensure solutions are instructionally sound and adhere to quality standards
- Pivot between projects by managing deliverable timelines and project plans
- Perform analysis to determine project scope, learning objectives and best training methodology to meet business needs
- Research effective training solutions and stay up to date on instructional design methodologies
- Follow the established design team project processes for each project
- Provide regular communication to project teams, business owners and stakeholders (e.g., risk, barriers, deliverables, and changes/updates)
- Interpret and translate business owner needs into actionable development objectives
- Assist in the identification of evaluation methods and tools to measure results
- Assist in administrating learning management system (LMS) assets and functions
