*Lactation Program Administrator (Project Management)

The Stephenson Cancer Center is now hiring for a Lactation Program Administrator! The Program Administrator will be responsible for program administration in addition to monitoring projects, program evaluations, and developing long-range plans. 

Duties:

  • Directs program administration, implementation, tracking and budget development. 
  • Administers and tracks all programs including Baby-Friendly for rural hospitals, hotline app, and lactation telehealth expansion. 
  • Develops an overarching vision and strategy for programs.
  • Establishes operational and strategic unit goals. 
  • Develops and tracks metrics for each grant-funded program, and implements strategies to achieve grant objectives. 
  • Develops, implements and monitors telehealth specific policies and practices and provides telehealth services as needed. 
  • Build community relationships, and collaborate with external partners in identifying opportunities to grow or develop new lactation support groups.
  • Serves on various committees and represents the program to the public and client groups.
  • Performs related duties as assigned to successfully fulfill the function of the position. 

Required Education: Master's Degree, AND:

  •  24 months of related experience.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 72 months experience in lieu of Master's Degree for a total of 96 months of related experience.

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to build rapport with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively
  • Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
  • Strong initiative to solve problems in a timely manner

Working Conditions:

  • Physical: Communicate effectively. Engage in repetitive motion.
  • Environmental: Standard Office Environment.

Department Preferences:

  • International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
  • 24-34 months experience in clinical care as IBCLC.
